how to volunteer
contract research organizations (CRO's)
Contract Research Organizations (CRO’s) are given the responsibility of conducting much of the clinical research done in the United States and around the world, on behalf of pharmaceutical companies developing potential new medications. CRO’s are private companies staffed by career research professionals. These professionals include physicians, scientists, project managers, data managers, and Clinical Research Associates (CRA’s). Each one of these professionals is committed to the success of the research projects they work on or manage.

A very important responsibility of the CRO is to monitor the clinical trial in order to ensure patient safety, and to confirm the integrity and accuracy of all data. Because the success of a clinical trial depends on the performance of all those who participate, CRO’s look closely at potential research sites, and only select the best to participate in the large phase II and phase III trials that are required before a new drug will be considered by the FDA for approval.

We are proud to have worked with some of the finest CRO’s, including:

  • Advanced Biologics
  • Clinimetrics
  • Covance
  • CroMedica
  • ICON
  • Symbion
  • Kendle
  • Medex
  • Paragon
  • Parexel
  • Target
  • Parkinson’s Study Group
  • Pharmanet
  • Pharmaceutical Resources, Inc.
  • PRA International
  • Quintiles
